"Firstly we had our safety briefing that was clear informative. The lesson was great, even as first timers we went away having hit some clays. The air rifles were set out to make it fun yet challenging. Overall an enjoyable time with a very friendly instructor who made you feel at ease and very welcome."

"I organised an event for a corporate day and it was great. The staff were super friendly and attentive and made sure that my customers all left with a smile on their face. "The Big Shoot was bought for a Xmas present for my son. He had 20 clays and did very well to hit a few. We added extra clays so his mum and dad could shoot too. Our instructor Terry was funny and very professional. We will definitely go to Hertford Big Shoot again. "

"Tony’s explanation of the safety features and equipment was very interesting and guidance using the gun was perfect which resulted in a very enjoyable afternoon. The bacon roll and cups of coffee was a bonus prior to the shooting with an unexpected hearty hot meal and desert afterwards in the best of environments (Shooting lodge). Very present hosts who couldn’t do enough for you. It was a substitute venue as the requested first choice was cancelled last min but was by far a better venue with outstanding facilities."

"Purchased a first course as a gift for my son and introduced his mother to shooting with him. His mother gave it go but resigned herself to the fact that shooting isn't for her. My son thoroughly enjoyed his time and is keen to return. He had never shot clay pigeons previously but after taking all advice given by the coach did extremely well. Fundamentally the coach is professional and knowledgeable and made my son's day. Its not easy maintaining an impressive site like this and I must say the owner does a fabulous job working his socks off to ensure the presentation of the grounds and more critically the safety of all patrons is paramount. There is a clubhouse with facilities. The cafe is well stocked with seating indoors or out. "
