Clay shooters of Yorkshire: did you know one of the finest shooting ranges in the country was lying right on your doorstep? The Big Shoot's Skipton location has been named one of the finest shooting ranges in the UK, after being awarded Premier status by the CPSA. When you get to the site, it won't be hard to see why. For starters, our location is spread across a whopping 1,400 acre estate, where every single inch is filled with an exhilarating action thrill. Then when you make your way around each shooting stand and target, you'll feel like you've been transformed into an unbeatable assassin!
Hot drinks are available from the club house and food is served during the Saturday and Sunday sessions.

We have been named one of the best shooting ranges in the country- and when you take a quick glance at our facilities, you'll understand exactly why! For starters, we have 20 different sporting layouts for you to blast your way around, including covered compak, DTL and skeet stands that were created to put your gun slinging skills to the ultimate test. A recent addition to our site is the ABT range, which has double trap and universal trench facilities. You can't call yourself a real clay shooter until you've taken on each of the challenges at our site!
Our site has toilets, spectator areas and car parking facilities. Light refreshments are available.

With 30 clays at your disposal, it's time to prepare for a true test of your aiming skills on the edge of the spectacular Yorkshire Dales. Complete with expert tuition from our qualified instructors and all of the equipment that you need to take part, you'll task yourself with blasting each and every clay which falls into your line of sight. If you're a beginner, there's no need for you to worry either - you'll be presented with a full safety briefing and learn all the tips and tricks needed to unleash your inner Clay Shooting assassin! Come and show us what you've got if you think that you can handle it!

Really enjoyed the experience and it was really good value for money!
We had a great time yesterday. We are regular shooters, but Dave our instructor was able to give us extra pointers to improve our aim.
First Experience of Clay pigeon
Dave was and excellent instructor with his coaching soon got the hang of how to shot and hit clays. The skill required to teach is excellent, think i may be hooked on this sport even after one session and that down to a great instructorGreat fun. A birthday surprise for our adult kids. Weren’t sure when we first suggested it but thoroughly enjoyed it. Robert, our instructor was lovely. Would like to do it again!
We had an amazing time! Our instructor was fab, the course was great (got the chance to shoot bird and rabbit clays) and we’ll definitely be back for more!

A great day out (sunny weather certainly helped). Instructor (Malcolm) was v patient with 4 newbies. Facilities and the whole set-up was impressive. I would recommend as a gift/day out or wanting to start a new hobby.
